DATA PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy is hereby adopted in compliance with Republic Act No. 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (DPA), its implementing rules and regulations, and other relevant policies, including issuances of the National Privacy Commission.

 

Strategic Alternative Corp. (SAC) understands the importance of treating your personal data as confidential. The nature of our business requires us to collect and maintain personal information, and we understand that we have a responsibility to secure it. This Privacy Policy describes the types of personal data collected; how it is used, processed and protected; for how long it is stored; with whom it was shared and to whom it was transferred. It also includes information on how you can update your personal data or how you can contact us about our privacy practices.

 

This Privacy Policy serves as your guide in exercising your rights under the DPA. Nothing in this Policy is intended to form a contract of business or employment or otherwise.

INFORMATION WE SHARE

  • With clients who may have job opportunities available or interest in placing you as our candidate;

  • With service providers such as laboratories, who are authorized to use information to perform services on our behalf, like complying with pre-employment physical exam requirements;

  • To manage your remunerations, including administering payroll, insurance and other employee benefits and tax, including disclosure to other institutions such as banks, insurers and government agencies like SSS, Pag Ibig Fund, Philhealth and BIR;

  • When otherwise required by law or in response to legal process;

  • When we believe disclosure is appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss;

  • When reasonably necessary to an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity;

ACCESSING & CORRECTING YOUR INFORMATION

You may request that we update your information by contacting us through dpo@sac.ph. You can ask us to have inaccurate personal data amended as well.

UPDATES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

Our Privacy Policy shall be updated to remain consistent with current best practices. You are advised to periodically review our Policy as after we post any modifications to it, your continued use will constitute your acknowledgment of the changes made and your consent to abide and be bound by our modified Privacy Policy.

DATA RETENTION

After finishing our recruitment process and you have not received or accepted an offer of employment from us, your CV will be held for a minimum of 6 weeks and for up to 1 year thereafter for future consideration, but only with your consent. Upon resignation or termination of contract, we will delete your account and information from our active databases. However, all required clearances should be accomplished and signed first by the client you are assigned with and then duly submitted to our office.

COOKIES

A cookie is a small piece of information that is placed on your computer or mobile phone when you visit certain websites. We use cookies to record your registration information and also to identify and prevent security risks. Most browsers are set to accept cookies by default but you can remove or reject cookies through your browser’s security or privacy settings. Set the cookie policies to be as stringent as you deem necessary without making it unduly difficult to access website features.

INFORMATION SECURITY

We maintain administrative, physical, and technical safeguards meant to protect against the loss, misuse, or unauthorized access, acquisition, alteration or destruction of all the data that we collect.

All information gathered via physical format are kept in secured filing cabinets while those in digital format are kept in our password protected server. Our Data Privacy Officer is in charge of overseeing all aspects related to our Privacy Policy including  security measures implementation, security incident and data breach protocol reports maintenance, and inquiry and complaints procedure.

 

We communicate our privacy and security guidelines and standards to our office staff and enforce these requirements within the company. All SAC office staff have signed NDA forms and only the client and the authorized office staff will be allowed to access your personal data for purposes of recruitment, payroll, billing and evaluation.

 

While we do our part to protect your privacy, we strongly suggest that you review the privacy policies posted at sites that are not owned, controlled, or operated by us. Information transfer via the Internet is not completely reliable and we are not responsible for the content of the other linked sites that you go to, your use of them, or their information practices.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

  • To establish and maintain a staffing relationship with you;

  • To assess whether you are qualified for a position;

  • To communicate with you like alerting you to available positions we offer;

  • To arrange employment assignments for you;

  • To consider and address any feedback that you may provide to us;

  • To provide referral services, such as if you refer a friend to us, or if we refer you to a client;

  • To inform our clients and business partners about our services;

  • For the performance of our placement, management, or other services agreements with our clients, including billing and enforcing payment arrangements;

  • For certain administrative purposes, to fulfill legal obligations or address compliance needs, and to resolve or defend legal claims.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

  • For APPLICANTS, your biographical information, including your name, gender, date of birth;

  • Your contact information, including your home and postal address, telephone number and email address, messenger ID;

  • Your identification numbers, including government-issued identification such as SSS, PIF (HDMF), Philhealth and TIN;

  • Information related to your current and past employment and your current and past job titles, work experience and compensation;

  • Your education, including degrees held and institutions attended;

  • Your skills and abilities;

  • Your preferences regarding the type of employment or job placement you are seeking;

  • Your anticipated availability to begin work;

  • The names and contact information for those you refer under Character References; and

  • Other sensitive information like your health data in the form of medical certificates or pre-employment physical exam results submitted to us and also your financial data such as bank account details for payroll purposes.

  • For CLIENTS, your name, email address and contact number so we can respond to your queries and serve you better.
